Here in the dark, it's getting much colder;
I am still a young girl, but now I'm getting older.
Learning so much, you would thing I'd get smarter,
But little did I know, life only gets harder.
When you've stepped in my shoes and walked down my path,
a similar paid will result from the crash.
How does life get this way? Is it me? What went bad?
Good feelings are now foreign to me, other than being sad.
All I want at this point is a change, anything;
I am ready for the good things that life has to bring.
But how long will I wait? And will this wait be worth while?
Because all that I know is that I can't wait to smile
