She had a Choice

For years she had a choice,
she chose to stand by him,
as the world crumbled around her,
she stayed by his side,
he fell from grace,
she stood there,
she had a choice,
she never left,
she never said anything,
bitter years later,
after all of it she still stands by him,
her trust and love,
Gone.
