Still Life of Girl with Broken Dreams MAG

Hardened brown eyes seethe with aggression,
She looks down at her tattered Converses
Oil, crayon, conveys
the infinite blue sky
that once caressed her spirits,
propelling her to distant lands.
Seeing
Anything, Everything, Nothing, Something.
Her soul a faded pair of jeans
with too much nostalgic attachment to be thrown away.
Locked deep deadened ambitions hide,
blown up like a balloon,
ready to drift –
lacked the means
and popped.
Sank to the floor and waited
to pick up and spirit away
their rubbery remnants.
