I see my best friend
kissing my crush
right in front of me
she doesn't know i like him
i was too embarrassed

I stand there awkwardly
telling myself i don't care
but i'm fighting back tears
I should be happy for her
she hasn't had this for a long time
but then again i never have

to like someone
and for them to like you back
that is not something to be taken for granted
