See you in Forever
I thought leaving would fix it
But the feeling never left
The churning, the unsettled mess had yet to cease
And I wondered how long this pain would last
I thought time would fix it
But the feeling never left
They say that time heals everything but I realize the truth
And that is time only blurs the pain
I thought photos and memories would fix it
But the feeling never left
They only remind you of what you are missing
And sometimes that’s all it takes
And then I thought that nothing would fix it
That the feeling would never leave
That sometimes blurred pain is the best you can get
And that forever will never seem so long
