Locked from Within
Painted blood red,
Solid wood frame.
It lacks a handle,
A way to get in.
It appears to be always closed
Or is it just to me.
Locked from the inside
No key hole.
No lock to pick
No entry.
Is there just no room in your heart?
No vacancy?
Iv been inside,
But I was kicked out
For my tom foolery,
And mischievous ways
But before I leave
I will kick in the door.
The door to your heart
And pillage what little remains.
You shut me out of yours
But you were still welcome in mine.
You refused
And I carry no regret
Not a tear will be shed
No tissues scattered about
My heart hangs a new sign…
NO VACANCY.
