Hate's tight grasp

The paper is blank
So is my mind
But one tear remains
I won't try to hide
I remember your face
As you said the words
I was a disgrace
I'd never be yours
I remember the way
You gritted your teeth
The hate radiated
I felt the heat
I still love you
I could never hate
The boy who taught me love
And how to reciprocate.
