The sun refused to wake
but I had asked to stay asleep,
alone and in-between the earth and sky
We tried so hard to hold together,
a broken cord of love
but when I surrender to the nightmare
you are invisible to me
Lullaby, violent caresses hold me so closely
You never saw the void in my eyes
But I tried so hard to save you
and now that the end has come,
I haven't had a chance to cry
