Oh Cleansing Rain with your grace and slide
You shine and prosper even when dark
You splatter against shutters
And sprinkle on hot pavement
And drench the tips of emerald blades
Oh Cleansing Rain, you wash away it all
You erase my impurities
And rid me of doubt
Oh simmer down my blazing sins
And leave me showered with renewed innocence
Oh Cleansing Rain, you enable me to forget
You leave me with only the reminiscence of trespasses
You drift my worries to lakes and streams
To wide oceans of incredible depths
