Life resembles a novel more often than novels resemble life - George Sand

The moon fell from the sky,
as the clothes line hummed,
as if it was a guitar string being strummed,
as the leaves turned upside down,
and the branches began to swing,
the grass caught fire,
as if each blade was the wick of a candle,
ignited with a flame,
the stones like hot coals,
the yellow bowl,
which holds millions of candles consumed in flames,
crashed its way to earth,
like a feather floating down from a birds wing.

wow, this is really great!! you have a definite way with words and you have fantastic imagery. my favorite line is the last line, where you say, "like a feather floating down from a bird's wing." truly amazing!
