The Comfort of an Ambiguous Abyss
I find it rather esoteric
That children cower in the presence of darkness,
Shaking in the knees when their eyes can run no where

But the garish light of daytime arouses such

 unease in me
And my eyes feel the urge to sew themselves shut

 For

I feel safest in the dark
Where veracity is obscured and all colours

 merge into gray
