The drought had stayed all through the summer.

Nothing, not even rain or thunder!

People tired of thirst and hunger,
Waiting for a drop of water.

But one day it got rather windy,

And people thought it almost chilly,

When suddenly dark clouds appeared and a soft drizzle seemed so near.

Then finally a wave of silence came across-ed the sun-parched fields.

As if everybody seemed to notice the tiny droplet that fell from above,

Which heaven had touched as a snow white dove.

The author's comments:
I wrote this in 2008 when I was about 11 or 12. This poem is about a time when people had no hope and finally found it through a white dove which represents peace. Also I would like some input on what kind of poem this would be. Thanks for reading!!
