I Hide From You
Hell -
I repress,
I ignore;
I inevitably forget.
My shattered façade
I’m not dead yet.
The lies that I tell,
The smiles that I fake;
My hell is this earth
And every breath that I take.
Shredded -
Every day a living nightmare,
Faceless monsters invade my dreams.
They rip me apart;
They get off on my screams.
My heart was in shreds to begin with.
I’ll sleep when I’m dead -
Translucent leaves burn.
Shatter the darkness.
Light as bright as a padded cell ballroom.
The darkness devours,
The light dissipates.
