My View of Beauty

July 14, 2010
By Anonymous

Beauty is the color of the soul,
The ability to overcome the mold.
To speak your mind but to be able to do as you’re told.
Beauty is something that will never grow old.

Beauty is not the color of the skin
Or the ability to be like everyone else, to just fit in.
It is not silver; it won’t need to be polished.
Beauty is something that will never tarnish.

Beauty is viewed in the eye of the beholder
So it won’t go away as you become older.
It’s something that comes from in side of you.
When you can see true beauty there is nothing you can’t do.

Wow...well said. I agree with this 100%. I like the rhyme; it adds some complexity to the poem. Good job(:
