"The Brightest Hole"
With every grave you dug for yourself
There's another hole that needs to be filled
But if not with yourself, then with what then?
At what point do you tell yourself
 That you should stay away?
At what point to do you convince yourself
That the only way out is down?

With every dark moon that overcasts
 Your little crater
Is a century's time to get out alive
But maybe you'll strike it rich
 With the brightest hole
 Stick amongst the roots and
Insects that make their way down
 To you
 To keep you some company

 Anyone can dig a hole
But it takes a real man to call it home
