I just wanna
put my all in you
commit my very being
to doing all you want me to

with you
there is nothing to mislay
no mishaps
and no mistakes
everything to gain
lifetimes of pleasure
lifetimes of pain

though it seems
like you may be so far away
i can feel
your presence

there's not a day
where your essense
doesn't shine upon me
like the very sun
that refreshes my inner being

if i had to pick
between you
and the tangiblity
of worldly things
you'd be so easy to choose
because with you
i never lose.

The author's comments:
I was inspired by a Blaise Pascal quote: "Belief is a wise wager. Granted that faith cannot be proved, what harm will come to you if you gamble on its truth and it proves false? If you gain, you gain all; if you lose, you lose nothing. Wager, then, without hesitation, that He exists."

your welcome! and you should get a book published!! teens DO relate alot to poetry and it helps some get through tough times. and if you do get the book published let me know!!!

Thanks so much for the positive feedback, Breanna.  I'm actually thinking of publishing a book of my own poetry; it's people like you who solidify the notion that it could actually have some meaning to teens everywhere.
