Happy Together

July 11, 2010
To the presence of others I pay no mind,
one quick glance and a heart-warming beam brights up my day.
Freedom to an embrace of yours welcome and kind.
A feeling of love engulfs the words I mean to say,
but with you wanting me there in your arms I know it's okay.

Who would have thought this moment would come about?
Besides me,
my mind obscured by your entrance that day when you walked in the room.
You smiled and reminisced,
made the first move.
Now look where we are.
Together for the first time,
and already you're happy with me.
I guess it really wasn't that hard,
knowing we were meant to be.

This is great! Very heartwarming. It's great to have people in our lives that give us joy to be with. I confess my love for this poem, partly because it shares the title of a song from The Turtles.

Thank you so much!:) Yeah I love that song too, I thought the title to it would be really good to sum up the meaning of this poem.
