Fearless.
Why do we feel afraid when we are alone?
Darkness creeps into the soul
Betrayed
I am cut down.
The shadows are cold
My bones ache with fear
Fear of life
Fear of loss
Fear of loss of life.
A thought hard to swallow
Burns all the way down
Don’t want to feel pain
Waiting for the game to end
I have used up my time-outs
Time to play it out
Time to break into my thoughts
Break through
Break out
Rip this from my head.
Why do we feel afraid when we are alone?
I don’t.
I am nothing
Somehow
Fearless now.
