wish upon a star

I know that you would never like me in that way
even though you may never see all the potential that I could offer you
a small part of me refuses to belive that in your eyes
I could be more than just a friend

although you will never want to see me as a
person who could become more than just friends
not a day passes by when I realize maybe just maybe
I could fulfill all you hopes and desires that I could embrace
and when you decide to choose otherwise think about
how maybe we could share something filled with passion
and know that I will always be here waiting to wish upon a star
I refuse to aknowledge this lie that you keep hidden from everyone
but I can see right through your hidden tricks
also keep in mind that I realize without your
hope and input you and I will remain “just friends”
sometimes I try to convince myself that maybe
you will get the courage to ask me out
but then she suddenly comes back to reality
and the reality is he isn’t interested
and she tried several times to make the first move
but he was hesitant also remember that
I will be forever waiting
Wondering when my
turn will come to wish upon a star.

Hmm. Doesn't really seem like a poem. It seems like you're just talking it out. I don't really see a rythme (might be spelled wrong) or beat to it. Other than that, I like where you're going & nice use of vocab! :)
