Early Dawn
I get up early
On a Monday morning
Its 6AM
And I’m still yawning.
I drive down the long steep slope
On and on
There’s no hope.
I keep on going,
until I get to town.
When I’m there,
all I can do is frown.
I pay the money,
to get a ticket.
Then I think,
I’m gunna tell them,
Were to stick it.
I stand there waiting,
and out the corner of my eye,
I catch a glimpse,
a glimpse of light.
Its 7AM,
when it arrives.
I need to wake up,
but I close my eyes.
I have a long day ahead,
and all I want to do,
is go back to bed.
