Help Me

Help me.
I am lost.
I keep running down a hallway and reach no where.
I don't know where to go.
I don't know what to do, except to run.
I'm scared.

Please help me find my way.
I barely know who I am anymore.
Come save me before I am lost completely.
I used to kill for an adventure.
Now I just want comfort.
I'm tired of being alone.
I'm tired of running.

There are doors everyone.
I don't know which one I should open.
I open the wrong one and see horror.
Guide me to find the right door.
There's something wrong behind each door.
I'm too afraid to open any more of them.
I'm not sure if this is real anymore.

I thought I knew.
I thought I knew what this was.
No one told me anything.
I need help.

I scream but no one hears.
I would ask for help,
But no one is here anymore.
Everything is gone.

Who was I before this?
Have I lost myself already?
Is this a dream?
Will I ever wake up?
Who am I anymore?
Please come find me.
Come help me before I lose everything.
I am lost.

The author's comments:
This is the second poem in the Hall of Volition series. It was the first one I wrote from the series. I personally don't think it's my best but I gave it to a friend and her mom found this poem. My friend told me that she found her mom crying on the floor, saying that she could relate to this so I hope you all like it.
