Her doe eyes, that make her seem so young,
Fill with tears, and I know I put them here
She cries, cries goodbye, as her hands are wrung
as I look on I whisper one thing:
Don't cry, you're tearing down your dreams
She cries some more I turn my back
Her cries turn to sobs, her sobs to screams
I keep on walking without one look back
I try to forget that little girl's song
Bury her under all the ice the stone
That has hardened me, made me strong
But then again how can you rip away
something that is part of you
that keeps clawing its way up, to your dismay
bloodied and broken, still crying and screaming
and making you listen.
How can you forget everything you once were
because of a little pain, you feel like your bitten
Some say you have to, it's how you live
I say I need to, it's worth what I'll miss
but maybe someday I'll return
and give that little doe eyed girl a kiss
whisper one thing:
Don't cry, It's all over again
Fill with tears, and I know I put them here
She cries, cries goodbye, as her hands are wrung
as I look on I whisper one thing:
Don't cry, you're tearing down your dreams
She cries some more I turn my back
Her cries turn to sobs, her sobs to screams
