Nature's Law
If the world collapsed within its core
And all that was left was turmoil
Would we wait for the heat
To blast us to pinnacles of matter?
Would we wait for our charred hearts
To act with normality?
Caring, hating, wanting, dreaming
Feeling even when our blood starts to burn
Our skin sweating and our bones cracking
Our minds crying from the pain
Would we panic and scream?
Or would we take action?
Rounding up and penning—sealing
Ourselves against the inevitable
Would we wait—frozen, staring
At the oncoming headlights—burning fire
As Mother Nature smothered its children
One by one
The world exploding in a ball of fusion
Negative energy, as it swallows everything
In its orbit
