People Won't Remember

People won’t remember.
But you will.
Every mean word, every evil glare…
You’ll remember that.
Or the time they hurt you so bad you became numb inside.
You’ll always remember.
Weeks, months, years can pass. And with time they’ll forget the mark they made on you.
But that memory will stick in your head;
Forever.
Hurt feelings subside, and heartbreaks are mended.
But pain never forgets.
People won’t remember.
But you will.
