What Are We REALLY Fighting For?

All my life I have lived in a military family
Most of us only know honor and respect
At least I do
Today, I sat and thought: "What is my father really fighting for?"

It's really not fair to put down all the people who are trying to make things right
They are doing the best they can yet take care of an entire population in one area

How do we make out the land of the free?
We've done everything we can to destroy it
I don't wanna fight for people who blame others for their problems
It's not their fault!

Accourding to my beliefs, the world will fall apart
but unfortunately because we've made it that way
Let's make the future as good as it can be
and hope for the very best

My second so called, "political" poem is about what I believe in and I'm not afraid to stand up and say that WE are wrong. Yes, the government AND presidents have their faults but do we really want to blame crap on them every time they step up to the plate? I love America and I would love to see us prosper in as many ways as we can.
