Silence The Butterfly

Silence the butterfly as it floats in the sky.
Flying above, waiting to die.
High in the air, it twists and it turns.
The fire in it's heart, soon no longer burns.

Silence the butterfly as it flies late at night.
It steals your sanity, and takes away your sight.
Watch it grasp your friends in it's hand.
It pushes you down so you can no longer stand.

Silence the butterfly in the evening gloom.
An eerie stillness fills the room.
The world grows cold and things choke in the frost.
And it seems, all hope is lost.

Silence the butterfly and close it's eyes.
For it tells you nothing but lies.
Takes away its light and kill its flame.
For this beauty is anything but tame.

Silence the butterfly one final time.
No longer let it commit these crimes.
Silence the butterfly with that cold gleaming knife.
And finally, you can move on with your life.
