Homecoming
I break through the line of trees

My eyes squinting at the sudden burst of light

I’d almost forgotten what it was,

 That light

 The castle is there

 Just within my reach

The place where I grew up

Where I would spend the light hours

Playing in the gardens just below my window

I’ve been in the darkness of the
 woods for so long

But now I’ve found my way home
