Finding the Real Me

Sitting alone under the shade of an old willow tree,
That’s where you’ll find me.
Savoring the soft touch of the swaying branches as they dance in the wind,
That’s where you’ll find me.
Watching the colorful fish leap in and out of the cool turquoise water,
That’s where you’ll find me.
Waking up to the musical chirp of baby birds singing in the sunshine,
That’s where you’ll find me.
Dipping my hand into the inviting water, as little creatures tiptoe along the frothy banks,
That’s where you’ll find me.
Looking up at a cloudless sky, imagining all that I can do with my life,
That’s where you’ll find me.
Discovering my true self for the very first time,
That’s where you’ll find me.
But only if you look.
