I live on the border between light and dark
Unsure of whether to dance with the flickering flames
Or to cavort with the sinuous shadows
So instead I slip into the multi-layered folds of gray
Ambiguous
Mysterious
And beyond mere black and white

The author's comments:
I was feeling philosophical/metaphysical, and this came to mind. This was first posted as a Facebook status on a whim. The original title was 'Gray,' but apparently the title has to be at least five characters. Sheesh.
