"When life gives you lemons, make lemonade, and then throw it in the face of the person who gave you the lemons until they give you the oranges you originally asked for."

"The naked truth of it is, I have no shirt."
-Shakespeare

I stay silent,
Unheard,
No words fall off of my lips.
I give a shy smile,
Scared,
A smile that pleads for conversation.
I blush bright red,
Embarrassed,
Thinking I look like a fool.
He looks confused,
Only for a second,
As he walks on past.
He scans the crowd,
Eyes gleaming,
Ready for laughter.
He spots what he is looking for,
A group,
His friends.
The girls smile flirtatiously,
They talk,
Laughter echoes.
I watch everything,
Unnoticed,
Thinking "how do I approach?"
He scans the crowed once more,
Looking,
His eyes not even seeing me.
I stand Unnoticed,
Invisible,
Trying to fight back the tears.
I wonder,
Thinking,
What's wrong with me?
