Spring is when animals are born, and when flowers bloom.
Spring is when the Earth warms up after a long winter's nap.
Spring is warm like freshly baked cookies coming out of the oven.
Spring is when you can hear the symphony of frogs and locusts.
Spring is when you run from wasps and bees trying to sting you.
Spring is when you cut your hair short, to escape the summer heat.
Spring is when you catch lightning bugs in the evening.
Spring is caterpillars hatch from their cocoons.
Spring is what comes after winter.

I was inspired to write this piece, when I looked out at my backyard. Everywhere I looked something was teeming with life.
