Senses fade to Oblivion
sharp
In a second
We fill the Darkness
We are alone
A quiet sanctuary
Prismatic Prison cells
We are faced with ourselves
We do not know
Reality smeared
Imagination Shot
silent
Eyes feel heartbeats
Self aware
Self confident
Self actualized
Self destruct
A joke
No passion
No fire
No light
No understanding
No knowledge
bliss
Shallow husks
All flash
No substance
No depth
Let’s go
One on one
Intense
Intent
purpose

The author's comments:
A nanosecond of emotion peering into the experiences of an insomniac. Random bits of thoughts and feelings of a fried mind. A little bit incoherent, but then again, that's what insomnia does to you. I'm hoping people catch the themes of darkness and angst. Inspired by the quote, "You and the darkness are separate from each other, because darkness is an absence of something." Hope you enjoyed it.
