we were once true
We were once dreamers
 We were once alive
We once had passion and reason
 We once knew the answer
Now we are dumbfounded by its simplicity
Of which we analyse to an extreme extent
Of which we destroy the mystery
And in fact I think we are too scared
I think we are completely petrified
To hold the thought in our minds
 And know we are right
For those intelligent enough to understand
It is ignored and held to a silence
 In their chemical minds
 For we were once dreamers
 And once had no intent
We once had no intent to question
 But to always know
 That we were right.
Before mystery turned into a question
 Of ‘intelligence’,
 We were once dreamers.
