Softly, softly

Do not scare them
We wouldn’t want to frighten them away
I think they understand
I think they’re learning

Soaking up the words

One droplet at a time
Louder now
I think they can handle it
I think they’ll understand
Faster, just a little
Ease them in
I think they’ve got it
Raise your voice

A little louder
Bring what they’re avoiding home
Yell no, I think
I’m sure they’ll take it
Scream the words right in their ears
Even if they do not want to

It is time for them to hear

This is such captivating writing! The tone and style and structure made it as if you (the reader) were whispering and walking on eggshells...:) 5 stars
