Sun, Where Did You Go?

Slowly dying
Drip on drip
The lifeblood of a haunted nation
Slipping through their broken fingers

Glory, glory
Sun, please rise tomorrow
Show us what we’re living for
Please don’t forsake us, leave us all behind

The Nighttime scares me
Brings the shattered stars
The sickly yellow moon that never shines
Fear plays games with the shadows

I cry tonight
Tears the color of the sky
When they dry, tracks frozen on my face
I’ll try to live again

:) No clue what this is about, but hey, I liked the imagery and metaphors and the way you put a fresh face on the sun/night conceit. :) Would you mind reading/rating/commenting on my short story "Ilya's Tale, part 1"?
