Why can't you tell us about your past?
Most of us already know.
Mother please why are you hiding?
Wouldn't you feel better for us to know?
Tell us about your alcoholic mother,
your drug addicted dad,
the step siblings you had for a while,
The Mental illness you have so very bad.
Tell us what happened when your dad overdosed,
yes, we all know he died,
Tell us how your mother was never there
tell us why you cry.
tell us why you were their mother,
your siblings, my uncles, you know.
Just tell us it will help trust me.
Take the chance or go.
We are what you think,
clueless of your past.
Imagine when you find out we know
our trust will then be broken.
I think we deserve for you to share.
mother just tell us about your past,
why our grandparents were never there?
and who were once your siblings?
When you die and still don't tell,
I'll know your such a lie.
a lie,
a fib,
a joke,
you see?
Please mama please?

This is about my mother and i wrote this when my cousin told me about my mothers past. She knew because her dad (my uncle) was my mom's sister. My cousins dad told my cousin everything in witch she then told me.

This is really sad. I kind of understand though. Something like this didn't directly happen to me, but it happened in our family and my family ended up adopting my two cousins. Anyways, i know what it's like to want to know the truth but wishing the truth was something other than what it is. Very beautifully written.
