It is apparent that every warm morning
makes me shiver, whilst every night lets
me bask in a glorious glow.

I am most free under the moon; the stars
look out for me. I watch as they smile their
bright smiles and I flash one back. They are
my children and I cherish every single one...

My name is Maddie, I am goddess of the night,
mistress of the black skies, and mother to all lunar beings.
I flow through midnight clouds and grant the sinning
children with nightmares. I stalk the patrons of the dark
and give them luck for their mischief.

But be warned, if you should come across me, pledging
loyalty to the light I will kidnap your soul, put it in my cloak
made of the moon's rays and make you into a constellation.
There you will be forever trapped in my domain and will be a
slave to the demons of the night. This will be your punishment
for savoring the sun.

I am right outside your door bathing in the shadows and playing
