Innocence
Newly formed dew rests upon the woven petals of a wild rose
magnifying the threads of spiders' silk
which by the nimble fingers of fairies and sprites
have been danced into intricate lattices that reflect the colors of a fawn's sweet breath
only to be pluckeed from the supple stem upon which they lie
to adorn an elf-child with nature's jewels
while the cricket plays a serenade of purity on his miniature violin.
