Lost and Found

I’ve lost and found myself
spent nights concealing my tears
confronting my fears
fighting the hungry pain
and letting in the love I’ve never had
I’ve spent days hiding from the loneliness
and others hiding from the crowds
finding balance
while allowing chaos
I’ve given up who I was
never tried to retrieve her
Now I’m stumbling in the dark
to recognize the shape
in the mirror
and crashing over reality
on my way to get to her
I’ve got some bruises and cuts along the way
but I’m beginning to heal
