You are the breeze in the wind
When the rain pours
I can tell you are here
Just like the sun rising
The thunder roaring
I know you're never going to leave
You are here forever more

Just like a volcano
When I want to erupt
You are there
When I'm going through rough times
When boulders fall from a cliff
You protect me
Just like a wave in the ocean
You wave me away from danger
Float me back to shore, to land, to me

Just as a bear tries to chase me down
Just as a kid would make me frown
You brighten up my cloudy days
Make all that pain go astray
Just like the trees
When the leaves fall
Little pieces of you fall
To remind me that you're here

Sometimes I don't always believe
Or put my trust with you
But then again I remember
You are the one who has been there for me
Through it all
From the past to the present
To the future things that will come
You are here, and will always be here

The author's comments:
I go to church every Sunday. There's this service we do at the end of the church year called June Jubilee. I had this sudden urge to write a poem for the service. I talked to someone from the church and I was allowed to write it for the service. I wrote it then revised it with this other member of the church. Everyone loved it, some people also wanted copies of it to keep, and one copy to publish in the church news letter. That's what inspired me.

When you're in a night that seems almost devoid of stars and you look but can't find someone to help you see. Look for that lonely star and let it guide you until you find the light. (anonymous)

This is incredibly uplifting! Although i'm not a church goer i find this to be very spiritual and an amazingly written piece!
