“Your better then this, she betrayed me, she lied.”
“Your better then this, she betrayed me, she lied.”
“What do I do, what should I do?”
I know it crossed your mind.
“Faithful I’ve been, faithful you state”
Trust on the line.
“I believe everything you say, everything you’ve spoke, and the full truth is now told?”
I should have told you sooner then later, she knew, she knew it had to be done.
And she would have but fear of losing you took over.
Excuses, excuses, over and over, don’t substitute the truth.
Truth of the matter is, she is scarred and didn’t want to hurt you.
The cut hurt, bled and healed.
But it remains just as this will.
The past is the past you say.
But her past, the past effects her still, cause, effect.
The cause: her stupidity, foolishness, and ignorance.
Led to the effects of this possibly effecting trust.
Regrets, “maybe if I didn’ts” sit, in her head they lay.
If this changes anything, if this was meant to be, so be it.
Question God, I think not, take it for what it is, pray for it back.
There’s reason for everything, whether its told, realized, or not.
There’s a reason why that note was written, there’s a reason why this impulse came to her to just hand a random guy a folded note with a number in hopes of him calling.
All done without a hint of logic just feeling.
The reason because you were suppose to be.
Nothing nor no one is perfect: cliché, we heard it before and now once more.
Reality: you can’t, just as she can’t change what’s been done.
Trying to erase pen is a waste of time.
She is not saying her wrong is right, because it’s red light, stop sign, think twice, double take, uh oh wrong.
And she is not saying it’s okay because this occurred months ago.
What she wants to say is that who and what that was, was her BUT she’s grown.
Changing your view, opinion, and trust would be like skinning raw knees over and over, repeatedly.
Baby, I’m NOTHING like the girl I use to be.
