souless moon
Autumn colored eyes, eyes of the sky
Moss green eyes
Black berry wine and memories of the road littered with leaves
Darkened asphalt from the morning rain
Smells like heaven
I carry a pocket watch but the gears don’t move
I loose track of time and I find myself lost between bookshelves
Stargazing to finding love in some foreign land
Where the bells ring louder and louder as the days wear on
My hunny is so sweet my hunny is so free
He crosses lands with wind in his hair
Sunlight hits his eyes and a thousand rainbows are born
Ghost hands on my face, ghost fingers on my eyelids
My back hurts from curling up to clutch my pillow
My only lifesaver, my anchor to the world
Empty lockets and one occupant for a table for two
I drink for one and leftovers rot in the fridge
I have cobwebs in my throat and my lips are cracked and dry
In my dreams…
My gardens are beautiful.
