Hot afternoon sun beating down.
Green grass, blue skys.
50 girls running back and forth.
One hope.
Ball flies by my side.
One wrong step.
Pain, hurt, dishonor.
Limping, tearing up, dying.
Lap time one mile to go.
More stress on me drives me to the ground.
Next day back in the field.
I can not do this anymore.
One wrong step cut me from the team.
One wrong step ended my dream.
