The Little Boy Across the Street
The little boy across the street lives in a broken home
with no love, no care and no guidance
I wish i could save him
I don't know his name but I wish I did
That little boy across the street cried in terror every night
Sometimes I can't sleep because I think about him
That little boy across the street was outside playing by himself
He caught my eye and he sprinted into the road
A car was coming
I ran into the road and scooped him up as fast as i could
I saved that little boy from across the street
I grasped him tight, fearing taking him to his broken home
He looked up at me with the most scared eyes I have ever seen
I feared for him
I took him back home and they grabbed him from me and shut the door on my face
I could have saved that little boy from across the street
I had the chance
