The shadow of me is my one and only company
Although mom and dad surround me
I’m inexistent
Mom pounds the wall
And shuts my mouth to prevent words from falling out
And dad makes sure those words never come out
I yell, as in a waking call
I feel that I will fall
As they hit an whip and take advantage of me
My insides bleed
The heart itself is more injured than what my resemblance shows
Although I scream
There’s no remedy
Mom and dad
Are filled with misery
Mom Dad, don’t whip me
I’m small but I promise not to be indignant
They bang and strike me to the walls, which hear my desperate calls
The walls themselves have wounds
I cry I know that the light will bring my old mom and dad back
This is just a nightmare
I’ll sleep endlessly if I have too
For all I want is just a simple hug from the two beings whom I love.
My Mom and Dad.
