Just Like You
I watch every day hoping for some sign
A sign of love or caring but it is always given to you
I wait patiently always second best
Never getting to be the princess every little girl should be
I watch every day as you get all the attention
And you get all the love
I am the one who gets all the bad
I am the one who gets to listen as she rants and raves
Yet I am not the one who she loves
I am just a being in her life
A nuisance to her in every way
She smiles at you and yells at me
All I ever wanted was to be just like you.
