The Earth is breathing through my window
making papers fall off the table.
I shut the window and turn on the fan.
It's getting cold now, and I'm
looking for the same smell and feel
as the Earth's breath.

I lay in my bed, reading,
waiting for that smell.
It's warm now. I miss that smell.
Maybe if I open the window...
