There's something about the way you feel when you run...
The freeness inside your spirit that makes your legs turn over faster
The way it feels to be cheered on by your teammates
How the sand stings your toes and your arches burn, as you run along the beach
How the sand seems to drag your legs down, and you become tired after only a block
The coolness inside your lungs when it rains... how nothing in the world can take away your victory
The joy as you run along your teammates, or lap kids who have been joking around
Seeing your teammates work to bring the baton around, while you await to anchor
Or maybe it's the freedom of running along country roads in the spring?
I don't know what it is that makes a runner who they are, what makes the sport so enticing...
But I do know that when you come across the finish line, that is one of the best feelings in the world and you feel...
