Saying final goodbyes to your friends,
Exchanging phone numbers and emails,
Parting for a wonderful eight weeks,
Summer has finally come.

The sound of the waves crashing upon the shore
The sun beating against your skin,
The wind whispering through your hair,
Summer has finally come.


The smell of barbecue in the air,
The sweet splash of the pool,
Running through the grass catching fireflies,
Summer has finally come.
