His fingers dance
Upon the chords of his tuneless song
She stands beside him
As she once would
Her arms wrapped around his chest
In a soft embrace
He can feel her breathing
Warm, against his neck beaded with sweat
Her aroma fills the air
with a light summer breeze
He catches his breath
A tear stains his cheek
The eco of their high pitch laughter
Penetrates the now desolate walls
His childrens playful giggles
Still hugging tight to his heart
He breathes in
The melody of his song
Dying
Leaving him alone with only
Sweet memories
Just as they did
